If you don't already know from the title, we are serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Tampa Florida. We are thrilled to be able to serve a full-time mission at this stage of our lives. We just finished our training at the Missionary Training Center in Provo and are on our way to Tampa.
I'm writing this from our hotel room in El Paso, Texas. Since we went on a trip immediately before our mission, we've been living in hotel rooms since December 11th... The nomadic life is fun.
It's our hope that this blog will be an account of the major events of our mission - but also a source of inspiration and a record of what we're learning and how we're progressing. Obviously, a mission is filled with experiences and life-lessons that are compacted into a short time - we want to share. If one person benefits from this writing, we'll feel like it's worth it. The plan is to post here weekly at least.
We intend to keep posts brief and to the point so that it's easy to read. This blog should be a mix of spirituality and a little humor (at least Eric will be laughing at himself). We understand that, if something is a little entertaining, you're more likely to read it. We hope to be authentic and vulnerable - because we know that's how people connect. Above all, we want to share how our testimony of Jesus Christ is growing.
We are so grateful you two amazing souls moved in to the Wanship ward for a short time before heading out to Tampa. Really looking forward to hearing about your mission, lessons learned, faith strengthened, and the humourous stories too! We love you guys! Praying for you and those you will serve. ♥️
